Our goal is to pass on to you sites, companies and products we have found to be functional bargains. Many products are free or have a free version that is adequate for many applications. Others may not be free, but are the best deals we have found to date. For Instance:

Have you looked at the interest rate on you checking or savings account recently? Most local banks pay no interest on checking accounts, have minimum balances and/or charge monthly fees. Interest on savings accounts at most banks are an insult!

We recently looked at one of our IRA money market accounts at a nationally known brokerage account and were shocked to find we were earning 0.01% interest per year! Are you kidding me? On $10,000 that would amount to a whole dollar for the year!

We realize interest rates have dropped everywhere, but 0.01%? Check out our bank. We get interest on our checking account with no minimum balance. We get a great interest rate on our savings accounts. We get free online bill pay with no limitations. IRA accounts are free. Set up as many accounts as you like. And this bank is a member of FDIC, just like your local bank.

You will discover throughout this website that we are brutally honest and upfront. If a product or service has worked out well for us, we will praise it and offer it to you. However, you will also find cautions about some areas of the Internet for which you need to be aware.

By sharing our experiences, your search for a particular product or service may be considerably shortened.

But remember, no one product or application works the same for everyone. We offer our favorites to you. All we ask is that you carefully pick and choose those for which you have an interest after evaluating them for your particular needs.
