All In One Protection

Several companies now have Suites that typically contain Firewalls, Anti-Virus programs and software to eradicate SpyWare. In the past we had tried several of the better know programs, but they contained so much overhead that they had a dramatic affect on our computer's speed.

However, most of them have been streamlined to the point where you most likely will barely notice them running.

Over the past 10 years, up until about a year ago, we used the free programs we were able to locate on the Internet for protection, most notably the ones mentioned on this site. But our ISP offered one of the more popular Suites to their customers for free, so we decided to give it a try.

So far we have been very happy with this Suite. It is nice to have the Firewall, Anti-Virus and SpyWare protection all in one program and it is especially great that it is free. As long as it continues to work well for us and remains free, we will definitely continue to use it.

Check with your ISP to see if they offer you a free Suite. If so, give it a try. If it works well, use it. If not, you can always fall back on the individual free programs we have recommended earlier.
